Farren International, LLC experienced a ransomware attack by the threat actor group "BlackSuit" that occurred between December 8, 2023, and December 28, 2023. The breach was discovered on December 15, 2023, after the company detected unusual activity on its computer network, which was later identified as an RDP exploitation. The compromised information includes employee names, physical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and passwords. It is also possible that Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers were compromised. The breach affected 235 individuals, including 2 Maine residents. Affected individuals were notified on January 12, 2024, and offered 24 months of credit monitoring services through Equifax.
