The Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery (GOFERR) notified the NH Department of Justice of a data breach on May 30, 2023. A staff member accidentally emailed a filled-in form containing personally identifiable information (PII) to two unintended recipients instead of a blank form. The breach affected one individual whose data was exposed. GOFERR immediately contacted the recipients, requesting deletion of the email and attachment, and received confirmation from one recipient. The affected individual was notified.
