Full breach record for ADT Inc.4 incidents on file

ADT Inc. disclosed that it recently became aware of unauthorized activity on its network and discovered that an unauthorized actor had illegally accessed the network using compromised credentials obtained through a third-party business partner. ADT believes the actor exfiltrated certain encrypted internal ADT data associated with employee user accounts. ADT shut down the unauthorized access, notified the third party, hired third-party cybersecurity experts, and is working closely with federal law enforcement. Based on its investigation to date, ADT does not believe customers' personal information was exfiltrated or that customers' security systems were compromised. The investigation is at an early stage and ongoing.
