Lawson Products, Inc. reported a data breach to the Maine Attorney General, stating that a phishing and malware attack occurred on February 2, 2022. The breach was discovered on February 8, 2022. The incident affected 28 Maine residents, and a total of 29,639 individuals. The compromised information includes names in combination with financial account numbers or credit/debit card numbers and their associated security codes or PINs. Affected individuals were notified on July 11, 2022, and offered 24 months of credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through Equifax.
