Matco Tools notified California residents of a data breach where an unauthorized party gained network access on March 1, 2022. The incident involved suspicious activity where a server was copying data outside the network. Matco disconnected affected systems and disabled accounts. The investigation determined that names and other variable data were potentially accessed. Matco is offering one year of identity monitoring through IDX.
