Health Center Partners of Southern California (HCP) notified individuals of a data breach involving its IT service provider, Netgain Technology, LLC. An unauthorized third party accessed Netgain's systems in late September 2020 and obtained files containing HCP data between October 22 and December 3, 2020. Netgain paid an undisclosed ransom to the attacker. Affected data may include personal information such as names and addresses; Social Security numbers were not impacted for some groups. HCP engaged forensic experts and notified the FBI. Complimentary identity protection services were offered.
