Brockton Area Multi Services, Inc. reported a data breach to the Maine Attorney General, stating that an external system breach (hacking) occurred on April 13, 2023. The breach was discovered over a year later on April 29, 2024. The incident affected 15 Maine residents, and a total of 23,705 individuals. The compromised information includes names and financial account numbers or credit/debit card numbers with their corresponding security codes, access codes, passwords, or PINs. Affected individuals were notified on May 16, 2024, and offered 12 months of credit and identity theft monitoring services.
