Charter Foods

Charter Foods, a commercial organization, reported a data breach to the Maine Attorney General's office. The breach, which occurred on January 13, 2023, was an external system breach (hacking) and was discovered on February 27, 2023. The breach affected 783 Maine residents, and a total of 109,194 individuals. The information acquired includes names or other personal identifiers in combination with Social Security Numbers. Charter Foods provided written notification to affected consumers on April 7, 2023, and offered 12 months of identity theft protection services from TransUnion.
