The incident was discovered on April 18, 2024, when unusual network activity was detected. An unauthorized actor accessed files containing names, SSNs, bank account info, and health insurance data. Nine Nebraska residents were newly identified and notified. MBE engaged forensic investigators, disconnected the network, and implemented security enhancements including MFA and Sentinel One monitoring. Credit monitoring was offered to affected individuals.
