Blaze Media

Blaze Solutions, a provider of point-of-sale software hosting services, disclosed a data breach occurring on December 29, 2021. A third-party business, also hosted by Blaze, downloaded a consumer list to promote its products. The exposed data included names, driver's license or government ID numbers, and medical use designations for a subset of consumers. Blaze explicitly stated that Social Security numbers and payment card information were not stored or impacted. Blaze disabled access to the list, implemented technical security measures, and offered complimentary credit monitoring.
