Houser LLP, a law firm, reported a ransomware incident where unauthorized access occurred May 7-9, 2023, resulting in file encryption and data exfiltration. The firm discovered the incident on May 9, 2023. The breach affected personal information of 2,217 New Hampshire residents. Houser engaged forensic specialists, notified the FBI, and implemented enhanced security controls including EDR, MFA, and phishing simulations.
