MEBA Benefit Plans notified the NH Attorney General that a hard copy report containing personal information (names, addresses, SSNs, vacation pay amounts) of Patriot Contract Services employees was stolen from the mail. The theft was discovered on July 18, 2018, when a Sheriff in California apprehended an individual in possession of the report. MEBA sent notifications to affected individuals and offered credit monitoring. Remediation includes switching to encrypted email transmission for reports.
