Genworth North America Corporation notified the Delaware Attorney General of a data security event involving its third-party vendor, PBI Research Services. The incident, discovered on June 16, 2023, involved the compromise of files containing policyholder and agent information on or around May 29-30, 2023. The breach affected an estimated 2.5-2.7 million individuals nationwide, including approximately 8,000 Delaware residents. Compromised data included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and financial account numbers. Genworth engaged forensic experts, notified law enforcement, and offered two years of free credit monitoring.
